For the second year, we recognised our top performing schools in England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, and Republic of Ireland. Our panel of judges also chose the winners of  'Project Manager or Team of the Year' and 'Most Creative Celebration of Reading' awards from your nominations!

Project Manager/Team of the Year

This prize was awarded to a person or a team who do a fantastic job project managing the implementation of Star Reading and Accelerated Reader. Our judges had difficulty with this one, as we had some amazing nominations, but these were the results...

Primary

Shortlisted:

  • Claire Wilson at Cairnshill Primary School
  • The whole teaching team and TAs at Tewkesbury CofE Primary School
Winner: Chelsea Sandbrook at Manor Leas Junior Academy!
 

Secondary

Shortlisted:

  • Sarah Foley at Telford Park and Telford Langley Schools
  • The English department and librarian at Nishkam High School
Winner: Sam Philips and the AR team at Bo'ness Academy!


Most Creative Reading Celebration

At Renaissance, we're passionate about reading! This prize was awarded to schools who love reading as much as we do and celebrate it in the most wonderfully creative ways! This was an equally tricky category for our judges, but they did pick some winners in the end...

Primary

Shortlisted:

  • Cairnshill Primary School
  • Whitehill Primary School
Winner: Manor Leas Junior Academy!
 

Secondary

Shortlisted:

  • James Bateman Junior High School
  • St George's Academy
  • And a special mention to Cedar Lodge Special School - this one was close!
Winners (a two-way tie!): Fearnhill School and Oasis Academy Wintringham!
